Jennifer C. King, PhD is a thought leader and accomplished executive with extensive leadership experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across oncology, precision medicine, information technology, and advocacy to improve health outcomes. Dr. King is currently the Chief Scientific Officer for GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer. She has a proven track record of developing, successfully funding, and leading execution of new strategic initiatives to increase lung cancer survivorship.
As a translational oncology researcher, Dr. King studied new molecular targets for cancer therapeutics while working at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCLA. She has overseen research programs and portfolios at the American Society of Clinical Oncology, led data governance for real-world evidence utilization via new health information technology for CancerLinQ, and co-founded a patient-facing health data sharing nonprofit, SHARE For Cures.
Dr. King serves on multiple advisory boards and workgroups for national and global organizations including American Society of Clinical Oncology, Association of Community Cancer Centers, International Association of the Study of Lung Cancer, Springer Nature, and the World Economic Forum as well as for pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies. She is a sought-after expert serving as the primary scientific spokesperson for GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer and has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Newsday, O - The Oprah Magazine, CURE and The Lancet addressing a wide range of cancer-related topics.
Dr. King received a PhD in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS from Duke University. She is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, and the Health Information Management Systems Society.
